    • 12/19 (8:30 PM) and 12/20 (6 PM) San Carlo Orchestra playing Haydn's "London" Symphony
    • Ice skating rink ("ice park") at Spalti del Maschio Angioino (Terraces of the Castel Nuovo) until 2/28, 10-midnight, free entry, 6 euro to rent skates
    • LOTS of Nativity Scene (Presepi) exhibits: one on Via Duomo (free, Chiesa San Severo al Pendino, M-Sat 9:30-7 until 1/8), one next to Gesu' Nuovo (donations requested, 6:45-1 & 4-7:30), one at Castel dell'Ovo, one on Via Toledo (Chiesa di San Nicola alla Carità, 10-1 & 4-8 until 1/11), Santa Chiara church (ticket pays for cloister & museum as well)...not to mention Christmas Alley (San Gregorio Armeno). New Years Eve - Big concert in Piazza Plebiscito and fireworks launched from Castel dell'Ovo

Their website is still under construction, so you have to go to various regional websites to find their schedules: For example, a subpage of the Circumvesuviana site has their Vesuvius area timetables, a PDF on the Monte di Procida website has their Monte D timetables, Procida.net features Procida schedules, and a random webpage in English shows Ischia's bus lines (but no schedule)

    • 4/29 Archeological Museum re-opens an exhibition of Pompeii Frescoes.
    • Soccer Games - Home games: 4/26 against Inter Milan, 5/17 against Torino, 5/31 against Chievo (see the rest of their schedule on the team website, UEFA.com, or Yahoo sports; learn about the team at the S.S.C. Napoli Wikipedia entry). Most games are pay-per-view, but you can usually find a free Internet stream at myp2p.eu.

      • Each weekend there is a special tour through various neighborhoods downtown; many tours are offered in English

    • 6/12-13: Fuoco Barocco Festival in Avellino, where on Sunday from 8 to 2 they will try to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Mozzarella Braid.
    • 6/18 at 9 PM Pergolesi's Stabat Mater performed by the Turchini Orchestra in the Pozzuoli Cathedral (of Saint Proculus) in the Rione Terra, which has been closed for 30 years....this begins a Pergolesi Festival that runs through July
    • 6/18-20: Porcini Mushroom Festival in Montoro Inferiore (south of Avellino)
